In 2010, SEB brought two of our partners, Mentor Sweden and the Brig Tre Kronor, together in a joint initiative, the Baltic MentorShip Tour. The common interest of Mentor Sweden and the Brig Tre Kronor is to promote and strengthen youth. The Baltic MentorShip Tour was an opportunity to celebrate mentoring young people and to raise awareness of the marine environmental conditions of the Baltic Sea.

Students and mentors from SEB, as well as customers and other SEB colleagues, sailed across the Baltic Sea. The tour lasted for 20 days with several stops in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

The collaboration with Mentor Sweden is a cornerstone of SEB’s work to contribute to better and stronger communities. Mentor Sweden is the Swedish chapter of the Mentor Foundation, dedicated to fighting the spread of crime and drugs among youth, primarily through mentoring programmes. By offering youth an adult friend outside their families, SEB can help inspire young people and build long lasting, rewarding relationships. SEB has partnered with the Brig Tre Kronor since late 2009, and supports their projects to promote the environment, youth and entrepreneurship in the Baltic region.
